Using only the best ingredients and technologies, they give you the ability to create any unique style. You deserve to stand out and be different.

I was given 2 products to review and they are both SUPER easy to use!

Miss Freeze is a freezing hairspray! Perfect for those who want to lock in those tough do's that are stubborn. I myself love to do "bumps" From bang bumps to pony bumps, I wear it all!! Miss Freeze has an amazing scent of Kiwi and Watermelon. Smells amazing and scent lasts quiet a while leaving your hair with a pleasant scent! Miss Freeze literally freezes your hair in place with a fast drying time. The spray also does not leave a hard crunchy feeling to hair like some heavy duty freezing sprays. Miss Freeze is simply amazing and is my new go to freeze spray for my bump do's!!!

I love a bumped ponytail!!!

Part top of hair.

Spray and slightly tease.

Awesome fast drying hold!

Comb down and put in rubber band

Long lasting hold!

At the end of the day I took down my ponytail and lightly combed through it. This created a full volume look for my layered hair!!

Smooth Moves is a frizz control hair cream. I personally have wavy thick hair and I often whip out my hair straightener for a sleek smooth look. I simply applied Smooth Moves before bed and I awoke to smoother shinier hair without the need of my straightener. Magic!!! Smooth Moves can also be applied to hair and blow dried straight to gain a smooth look in a pinch. Smells sooooo yummy with Coconut and Silk Extract. I am in love with this scent. I imagine myself on an island drinking sweet drinks with tiny umbrella's. LOL but seriously, Smooth Moves smells intoxicating!!!

My natural hair. NO products

 Before

With Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves

I simply applied Smooth Moves to my damp hair before bed. This is the result I got when I woke up in the morning! No heat required. Woohoo!!!

Each of the Not You Mother's products work wonderfully! I highly recommend.

NaiLuv Ocean Deep is a dark full coverage blue with a micro blue shimmer

Step 1: Push back cuticles with a pusher, buff the nail with a 100 grit file and apply a thin layer of Bonder. (No light required for Bonder)

Step 2. Apply a thin layer of Base/Top Coat. Let cure under light for LED 30 seconds UV 2 minutes.

Manicure is still going strong!! ZERO chips.

Day 8!! Minimal tip ware. This polish will last and last. Nail Lovers....I am a nail tech student. I work with heavy duty acetone, liquid monomer and such EVERY day. Refer to my pointer finger. There are lots of scratches due to me filing clients nails and hitting my own. NaiLuv UV/LED Gel Polish is AWESOME!!!

Merry Mermaid is a beautiful teal polish with teal/silver shimmer. GORGEOUS!! Pictures do not do this beauty justice.

Avenger Manicure

Completely inspired from the movie Avenger that is in theaters on Friday! Anyone going to go see it? Unfortunately I am unable to see it in 3D right not due to having 4 antsy young children. We will be watching it at our local Drive-In Theater! Pretty excited. This mani took me forever. About an hour and a half just to paint. I was shaky and my 3 year old was running around like a mad woman. So it probably took me longer than usual. Everything is free hand and I used all the polishes in the picture below, some polish strippers and a tool!

                                                                There you have it!!
Black Widow, Thor, Ironman, Captain America and Hulk!

Enjoy!

Homemade Cuticle Softner

      Homemade Cuticle Softener

Prick a liquid vitamin E capsule with a straight pin. Squeeze the vitamin E oil into a small bowl and add 1 tbsp. olive oil. Dip each finger into the mixture. Use a wooden cuticle stick to push back the cuticles on your fingers. Use a circular motion with the stick around your entire nail to help remove cuticle. Rub the remaining mixture thoroughly into your hands and fingers.

Removing cuticle helps maintain healthy nail as well as ensuring longer polish wear!

Enjoy!

My Acid/Leopard/Neon Toesies

I never show my toes because A. I'm Pretty and Polished "Pointers", B. Because isn't it weird to post pictures of your feet? And C. How the heck do you "pose" them for the camera? I'm not sure but I am brave enough to do it today. I had seen someone post a You Tube nail tutorial last week on their wall and it has inspired me. I wanted to try the look for a bright summery pedicure.I really like it. What do you think?

Here is the link to the YouTube video HERE

For the artwork I used:

Zoya Ali
Zoya Pippa
Sinful Colors Why Not
Wet n Wild Black Cream (applied with a toothpick)
Toped with Seche Vite

Pretty and Polished Pointers, Pointers

Today a fellow blogger had asked a general question. What would be recommended for dry fingers and cuticle, especially if you have sensitive skin?

I have mostly used organic olive oil or coconut oil.

Olive oil is rich in vitamins A, B-1, B-2, C, D, and Iron. Coconut oil is a great skin moisturizers as well and has many other benefits along with it. They are pretty cheap considering the price of those expensive store bought cuticle treatments. These items are know for keeping your nails strong and less brittle. I find these at any local grocery store for around $4.

2 ways to apply:

Using daily, wet a cotton ball and rub on to cuticle and surrounding areas
Weekly, a warm oil soak for 15 minutes

Oooooh Silky smooth :)

Enjoy
